Originally from Northern England, educated in Scotland, spent time in mother's home town of Chicago. Moved to Greece, worked for several years on the island of Kefalonia, before moving to Athens to teach English (the only time I've actually used my hons. degree!!) After several years there, met my now-DH, who was working in Wellington, New Zealand (of all the Greeks in Athens, had to hook up with the one who was on the other side of the planet); moved there for supposedly 18 months, which turned out to be 10 years. Did various things in that time, including running, then owning, a bridal shop for about 4 years. Next move was to Singapore, for DH's career; still here after nearly 5 years of relentless humidity and unabated boredom for me - great place to visit for 5 days, but try being stuck here long-term........... Only thing that keeps me going is my 3 mad cats, one fat moggy girl and two crazy Birman boys - two Kiwis and an Aussie (the younger Birman) And yes, there is plenty of trans-Tasman rivalry between them!
